[Machine] We were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ and the sun was shining on our knees after Asr prayer. He said, "Our lifespan in comparison to those who have passed is like what remains of the day in comparison to what has already passed from it."  

أحمد:٥٩٦٦ – حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ سَمِعْتُ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ كُهَيْلٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَالشَّمْسُ عَلَى قُعَيْقِعَانَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ فَقَالَ مَا أَعْمَارُكُمْ فِي أَعْمَارِ مَنْ مَضَى إِلَّا كَمَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّهَارِ فِيمَا مَضَى مِنْهُ

الطبراني:١٣٥١٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا شَرِيكٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ كُهَيْلٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
