ʿThis is the place of standing, and all of ʿArafah is a place of standing.ʿ Then he moved on at an unhurried pace, and the people started rushing right and left. He turned to them and said: ʿCalmly, O, people; calmly, O people.ʿ Then he came to al-Muzdalifah between the two prayers, then he stood in al-Muzdalifah and he stood at Quzah, with al-Fadl bin Abbas riding behind him, and he said: “This is the place of standing and all of Muzdalifah is a place of standing.” Then he moved on at an unhurried pace and the people started rushing right and left. He turned to them and said: ʿCalmly, calmly, O people.” He came to Muhassir and struck his mount, and it trotted until he left (the valley) then he resumed his original pace until he (came and) stoned the Jamrah. Then he went to the place of sacrifice and said: ʿThis is the place of sacrifice and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice.” Then a young woman from Khathʿam came and said: My father is an old man and has become senile; he has lived until Allah made Hajj obligatory, but he cannot do it. Will it be acceptable if i perform Hajj on his behalf? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Yes”. And he started turning the face of al-Fadl bin al-ʿAbbas away from her. Then a man came to him and said: I stoned the jamrah and did tawafal-ifadah and put on my ordinary clothes, but I did not shave my head. He said: ʿNo problem, go ahead and shave your head.” Then another man came to him and said: I stoned the Jamrah and shaved my head and put on my ordinary clothes, but I did not offer the sacrifice. He said: “No problem, go ahead and offer the sacrifice.” Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did tawafal-ifadah, then he called for a bucket of Zamzam water and drank from it and did wudoo’. Then he said: “Draw water, O Banu ʿAbdul-Muttalib, Were it not that you would be overwhelmed, I would have drawn water myself.” Al-ʿAbbas said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, why did I see you turning your cousinʿs face away? He said: ʿI saw a young man and a young woman and I feared that the Shaitan might tempt them.”

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَفَ بِعَرَفَةَ وَهُوَ مُرْدِفٌ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَوْقِفُ وَكُلُّ عَرَفَةَ مَوْقِفٌ ثُمَّ دَفَعَ يَسِيرُ الْعَنَقَ وَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَضْرِبُونَ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا وَهُوَ يَلْتَفِتُ وَيَقُولُ السَّكِينَةَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ السَّكِينَةَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ حَتَّى جَاءَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةَ وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَ الصَّلاتَيْنِ ثُمَّ وَقَفَ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فَوَقَفَ عَلَى قُزَحَ وَأَرْدَفَ الْفَضْلَ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَوْقِفُ وَكُلُّ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ مَوْقِفٌ ثُمَّ دَفَعَ وَجَعَلَ يَسِيرُ الْعَنَقَ وَالنَّاسُ يَضْرِبُونَ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا وَهُوَ يَلْتَفِتُ وَيَقُولُ السَّكِينَةَ السَّكِينَةَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ حَتَّى جَاءَ مُحَسِّرًا فَقَرَعَ رَاحِلَتَهُ فَخَبَّتْ حَتَّى خَرَجَثُمَّ عَادَ لِسَيْرِهِ الْأَوَّلِ حَتَّى رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ الْمَنْحَرَ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَنْحَرُ وَكُلُّ مِنًى مَنْحَرٌ ثُمَّ جَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ شَابَّةٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمَ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ وَقَدْ أَفْنَدَ وَأَدْرَكَتْهُ فَرِيضَةُ اللهِ فِي الْحَجِّ وَلا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَدَاءَهَا فَيُجْزِئُ عَنْهُ أَنْ أُؤَدِّيَهَا عَنْهُ ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَعَمْ وَجَعَلَ يَصْرِفُ وَجْهَ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْهَا ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَمَيْتُ الْجَمْرَةَ وَأَفَضْتُ وَلَبِسْتُ وَلَمْ أَحْلِقْ قَالَ فَلا حَرَجَ فَاحْلِقْ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَمَيْتُ وَحَلَقْتُ وَلَبِسْتُ وَلَمْ أَنْحَرْ فَقَالَ لَا حَرَجَ فَانْحَرْ ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَعَا بِسَجْلٍ مِنْ مَاءِ زَمْزَمَ فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ وَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ قَالَ انْزِعُوا يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَلَوْلا أَنْ تُغْلَبُوا عَلَيْهَا لَنَزَعْتُ قَالَ الْعَبَّاسُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْرِفُ وَجْهَ ابْنِ أَخِيكَ؟ قَالَ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ غُلامًا شَابًّا وَجَارِيَةً شَابَّةً فَخَشِيتُ عَلَيْهِمَا الشَّيْطَانَ

"The Messenger of Allah stopped at Arafat and said: 'This is Arafah and it is a place of standing. And all of Arafat is a place for standing.' Then he departed when the sun had set and took Usamah bin Zaid as a companion rider, and he was motioning with his hand as was his custom, and the people were striking (their camels) on the right and the left to try and catch them, so he said: 'O you people! Be calmm.' Then he came to Jama and performed the two Salat there combined. When the morning came, he went to Quzah and stood there and said: 'This is Quzah, and it is a place of standing, and all of Jama is a place for standing.' Then he departed until he arrived at Wadi Muhassir. Then he stuck his she-camel and she trotted until he passed the valley. Then he stopped and took Al-Fadl as a companion rider and went to the Jamrah to stone it. Then he went to Al-Manhar and said: 'This is Al-Manhar, and all of Mina is a place for sacrifice.' A young girl from Khath'am came to ask him for a verdict, she said: 'Indeed my father is an elderly man who has lived until Allah has made Hajj obligatory, so would he be rewarded if I perform Hajj for him? He said: 'Perform Hajj for your father.'" He said: "And he turned the neck of Al Fadl. So Al-Abbas said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Why did you turn the neck of your cousin?' He said: 'I saw a young man and a young woman, and they were not safe from Shaitan.' A man came to him and said, 'O Messenger of Allah! I performed (Tawaf) Al-Ifadah before shaving.' He said: 'Shave, and there is no harm'" - or: 'Clip and there is no harm'" He said: "Someone else came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I did the sacrifice before stoning.' So he said: 'Stone, and there is no harm.'" He said: "Then he went to the House (Ka'bah) to perform Tawaf around it, then he went to Zamzam and said: 'O tribe of Abdul-Muttalib! If it were not that the people would rush upon you then I would remove it.'"

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عَلِيٍّ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَلِيٍّ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ مِثْلَ هَذَا وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ رَأَوْا أَنْ يُجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ بِعَرَفَةَ فِي وَقْتِ الظُّهْرِ وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ إِذَا صَلَّى الرَّجُلُ فِي رَحْلِهِ وَلَمْ يَشْهَدِ الصَّلاَةَ مَعَ الإِمَامِ إِنْ شَاءَ جَمَعَ هُوَ بَيْنَ الصَّلاَتَيْنِ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعَ الإِمَامُ قَالَ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ هُوَ ابْنُ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood at ʿArafah and said: ʿThis is the place of standing and all of ʿArafah is a place of standing.ʿ Then he put Usamah behind him (on his mount) and moved on at a measured pace on his camel, and the people were urging their camels on, right and left. He did not turn to them, but he said: “Calmly, O people.ʿ Then he came to Jamʿ and offered two prayers there - i.e., Maghrib and Ishaʿ. Then he stayed there all night, and when morning came he stood at Quzah, and said: ʿThis is Quzah. This is the place of standing and all of Jam’ is a place of standing.ʿ Then he moved on and when he came to Muhassir, he struck his she-camel and she trotted until he crossed the valley, then he reined her in and put al-Fadl behind him (on his mount). He carried on until he came to the Jamrah. He stoned it, then he came to the place of sacrifice and said: “This is the place of sacrifice and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice.ʿ Then a young woman of Khathʿam came to him and said: My father is an old man and has become senile; he has lived until Allah made Hajj obligatory. Will it be acceptable if I perform Hajj on his behalf ? He said: ʿYes; perform Hajj on behalf of your father.” And he turned al-Fadlʿs neck. He said: ʿGo ahead and shave your head or cut your hair, there is no problem.” And he came to Zamzam and said: ʿO Banu ʿAbdul-Muttalib, it is your right to draw water for pilgrims. Were it not that the people would overwhelm you, I would have drawn water myself.ʿ  

أحمد:١٣٤٨حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِعَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَوْقِفُ وَعَرَفَةُ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ ثُمَّ أَرْدَفَ أُسَامَةَ فَجَعَلَ يُعْنِقُ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ وَالنَّاسُ يَضْرِبُونَ الْإِبِلَ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا لَا يَلْتَفِتُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَيَقُولُ السَّكِينَةَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ وَدَفَعَ حِينَ غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَأَتَى جَمْعًا فَصَلَّى بِهَا الصَّلاتَيْنِ يَعْنِي الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ بَاتَ بِهَا فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ وَقَفَ عَلَى قُزَحَ فَقَالَ هَذَا قُزَحُ وَهُوَ الْمَوْقِفُ وَجَمْعٌ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ قَالَ ثُمَّ سَارَ فَلَمَّا أَتَى مُحَسِّرًا قَرَعَهَا فَخَبَّتْ حَتَّى جَازَ الْوَادِيَ ثُمَّ حَبَسَهَا وَأَرْدَفَ الْفَضْلَ ثُمَّ سَارَ حَتَّى أَتَى الْجَمْرَةَ فَرَمَاهَا ثُمَّ أَتَى الْمَنْحَرَ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَنْحَرُ وَمِنًى كُلُّهَا مَنْحَرٌ ثُمَّ أَتَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ شَابَّةٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمَ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ قَدْ أَفْنَدَ وَقَدِ ادْرَكَتْهُ فَرِيضَةُ اللهِ فِي الْحَجِّ فَهَلْ يُجْزِئُ أَنْ أَحُجَّ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَأَدِّي عَنِ ابِيكِ قَالَ وَلَوَى عُنُقَ الْفَضْلِ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَبَّاسُ يَا رَسُولَاللهِ مَا لَكَ لَوَيْتَ عُنُقَ ابْنِ عَمِّكَ؟ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ شَابًّا وَشَابَّةً فَخِفْتُ الشَّيْطَانَ عَلَيْهِمَا قَالَ وَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ أَفَضْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَحْلِقَ قَالَ فَاحْلِقِ اوْ قَصِّرْ وَلا حَرَجَ قَالَ وَأَتَى زَمْزَمَ فَقَالَ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ سِقَايَتَكُمْ لَوْلا أَنْ يَغْلِبَكُمِ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهَا لَنَزَعْتُ

He said: ʿYes; perform Hajj on behalf of your father.ʿ And he twisted al Fadlʿs neck (to turn his face away). Al-ʿAbbas said to him: O Messenger of Allah, why did you twist the neck of your cousin? He said: ʿI saw a young man and a young woman and I was not certain that they would be safe from the Shaitan.ʿ Then a man came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, I shaved my head before offering a sacrifice. He said: “Offer your sacrifice, there is no problem.” Then another man came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, I did tawafal-ifadah before shaving my head. He said: “Shave your head or cut your hair, there is no problem.ʿ Then he came to the Kaʿbah and circumambulated it, then he came to Zamzam and said: ʿO Banu ‘Abdul-Muttalib, it is your right to draw water for pilgrims. Were it not that the people would overwhelm you, I would have drawn water myself.ʿ

وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِعَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَوْقِفُ وَعَرَفَةُ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ وَأَفَاضَ حِينَ غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ أَرْدَفَ أُسَامَةَ فَجَعَلَ يُعْنِقُ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ وَالنَّاسُ يَضْرِبُونَ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا يَلْتَفِتُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَيَقُولُ السَّكِينَةَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ثُمَّ أَتَى جَمْعًا فَصَلَّى بِهِمِ الصَّلاتَيْنِ الْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ بَاتَ حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ ثُمَّ أَتَى قُزَحَ فَوَقَفَ عَلَى قُزَحَ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَوْقِفُ وَجَمْعٌ كُلُّهَا مَوْقِفٌ ثُمَّ سَارَ حَتَّى أَتَى مُحَسِّرًا فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَرَعَ نَاقَتَهُ فَخَبَّتْ حَتَّى جَازَ الْوَادِيَ ثُمَّ حَبَسَهَا ثُمَّ أَرْدَفَ الْفَضْلَ وَسَارَ حَتَّى أَتَى الْجَمْرَةَ فَرَمَاهَا ثُمَّ أَتَى الْمَنْحَرَ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَنْحَرُ وَمِنًى كُلُّهَا مَنْحَرٌ قَالَ وَاسْتَفْتَتْهُ جَارِيَةٌ شَابَّةٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمَ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ قَدْأَفْنَدَ وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَتْهُ فَرِيضَةُ اللهِ فِي الْحَجِّ فَهَلْ يُجْزِئُ عَنْهُ أَنْ أُؤَدِّيَ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَأَدِّي عَنْ أَبِيكِ قَالَ وَقَدْ لَوَى عُنُقَ الْفَضْلِ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَبَّاسُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لِمَ لَوَيْتَ عُنُقَ ابْنِ عَمِّكَ؟ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ شَابًّا وَشَابَّةً فَلَمْ آمَنِ الشَّيْطَانَ عَلَيْهِمَا قَالَ ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ حَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنْحَرَ قَالَ انْحَرْ وَلا حَرَجَ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَفَضْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَحْلِقَ قَالَ احْلِقْ أَوْ قَصِّرْ وَلا حَرَجَ ثُمَّ أَتَى الْبَيْتَ فَطَافَ بِهِ ثُمَّ أَتَى زَمْزَمَ فَقَالَ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ سِقَايَتَكُمْ وَلَوْلا أَنْ يَغْلِبَكُمِ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهَا لَنَزَعْتُ بِهَا

“This is a place of standing and all of ʿArafah is a place of standing.ʿ then he moved on at a measured pace and the people were rushing right and left. He turned to them and said: “Calmly, O people; Calmly, O people.ʿ When he came to al-Muzdalifah, he put two prayers together, then he stood in al-Muzdalifah with al-Fadl bin ‘Abbas riding behind him. Then he stopped in Quzah and said: ʿThis is the place of standing, and all of al-Muzdalifah is a place of standing.ʿ Then he moved on at a measured pace, and the people were rushing right and left. He turned to them and said: ʿCalmly, O people; calmly, O people.” When he stopped in Muhassir, he struck his mount and it trotted until it left the valley. Then he continued until he came to the Jamrah, then he went to the place of sacrifice and said: “This is the place of sacrifice and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice.” and he mentioned a hadeeth like that of Ahmad bin ʿAbdah from al-Mugheerah bin

أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قُلْتُ لِسُوَيْدٍ وَلِمَ سُمِّيَ الزَّنْجِيَّ؟ قَالَ كَانَ شَدِيدَ السَّوَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَفَ بِعَرَفَةَ وَهُوَ مُرْدِفٌ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ هَذَا مَوْقِفٌ وَكُلُّ عَرَفَةَ مَوْقِفٌ ثُمَّ دَفَعَ فَجَعَلَ يَسِيرُ الْعَنَقَ وَالنَّاسُ يَضْرِبُونَ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا وَهُوَ يَلْتَفِتُ وَيَقُولُ السَّكِينَةَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ السَّكِينَةَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ حَتَّى جَاءَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةَ فَجَمَعَ بَيْنَ الصَّلاتَيْنِ ثُمَّ وَقَفَ بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فَأَرْدَفَ الْفَضْلَ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ثُمَّ وَقَفَ عَلَى قُزَحَ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَوْقِفُ وَكُلُّ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ مَوْقِفٌ ثُمَّ دَفَعَ فَجَعَلَ يَسِيرُ الْعَنَقَ وَالنَّاسُ يَضْرِبُونَ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالًا وَهُوَ يَلْتَفِتُ وَيَقُولُ السَّكِينَةَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ السَّكِينَةَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَلَمَّا وَقَفَ عَلَى مُحَسِّرٍ قَرَعَ رَاحِلَتَهُ فَخَبَّتْ بِهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَتْ مِنَ الْوَادِي ثُمَّ سَارَ سَيْرَتَهُ حَتَّى أَتَى الْجَمْرَةَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْمَنْحَرَ فَقَالَ هَذَا الْمَنْحَرُ وَكُلُّ مِنًى مَنْحَرٌ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِثْلَهُ أَوْ نَحْوَهُ

" عن عَلِىٍّ قال: وَقَفَ رَسولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِعَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ: هَذا المَوقِفُ وَعَرَفَةُ كُلُّها مَوْقِفٌ، وَأفَاضَ حين غَابَت الشَّمْسُ، وَأرْدفَ أُسَامَة فَجَعَل يَعْنقُ عَلَى بَعيرِه (*)، والنَّاسُ يَضْرِبون الإبلَ يمَينًا وشِمالًا يَلتَفِتُ إلَيْهم ويَقولُ: السَّكِينَةَ أيُّها النَّاسُ. ثم أتَى جَمْعًا فَصَلَّى بهم الصَلاَتَيْن، المَغْرِبَ والعشاءَ، ثُمَّ باتَ حَتَّى أصَبْحَ، ثُمَّ أَتَى قُزَحَ، فَوَقَف عَلى قُزَح، فقال: هَذا الْمَوقِفُ وَجَمعٌ كُلُّها مَوْقِفٌ، ثم سارَ حتَّى أتَى مُحَسِّرًا فَوَقَفَ عَلَيه فَقَرعَ نَاقَتَه فَخبَّت حتى جَازَ الَوادِىَ، ثُمَّ حَبَسَها، ثُمَّ أَرْدَفَ الفَضْل وَسَارَ حَتَّى أتَى الْجَمْرَة فَرماهَا، حَتَّى أتَى الْمَنحَر فقالَ: هَذا المَنْحَرُ ومِنًى كُلُّها مَنْحَرٌ، وَاسْتَفْتَتْه جَارِيةٌ مِن خَثْعَمَ فَقَالَتْ: إنَّ أَبِى شَيْخٌ كبيرٌ قَد أفْنَدَ (* *)، وَقد كَبِرَ وَقَد أَدَركْته فَريضَةُ اللهِ فِى الحجِّ، فَهَلْ يُجْزِئ عَنْه أَنْ أُؤَدِّى عَنْه؟ قالَ: نَعَمْ، فَأَدِّى عَنْ أَبِيْكِ، وَلَوى عُنُقَ الفَضْلِ، فَقَال لَه العَبَّاسُ: يَا رسُولَ اللهِ! لمَ لَوَيْتَ عُنُقَ ابنِ عَمَّكَ؟ قَال: رَأَيْتُ شَابّا وشَابَّةً فَلَم آمَنِ الشَّيطَانَ عَلَيْهِمَا، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ رَجُلَ آخَرُ فقَالَ: يَارسولَ الله! حَلَقْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنْحَرَ قال: انْحرْ وَلاَ حَرَجَ، ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ آخَرُ فَقَالَ: يَا رسُولَ اللهِ! إِنِّى أَفَضْتُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَحْلِقَ، قَالَ: احْلِقْ أو قَصِّرْ ولاَ حَرَجَ، ثمَ أتَى الْبيْتَ فَطَافَ بهِ، ثُمَّ أتَى زمْزَمَ فَقَالَ: يَا بَنى عَبْدِ المُطَلِّبِ! سِقَايَتَكُم، وَلَوْلاَ أنْ يَغْلِبَكُم النَّاسُ عَلَيْها لَنَزَعْتُ (* * *) ".

"عَنُ عَبَيدِ الله بنِ أَبِى رافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِى رَافِعٍ أَن رسولَ الله ﷺ وَقَفَ عَشَّيةَ عَرَفَةَ، وَأَرَدَفَ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْد فَقَالَ: هَذَا الموْقف، وكُل عَرَفَة مَوْقِفٌ، وارفَعُوا عَنْ بطِن عرنة، ثُمَّ دَفَعَ رَسولُ الله ﷺ حِينَ وَجَبتِ الشمسُ يسير العنق والناسُ يضْرِبُون يمينًا وشمالًا، ورسولُ الله ﷺ يَلتَفِتُ يمينًا وشمالًا ويَقُولُ: أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عَلَيْكُم السَّكِينة حَتَّى جَاءَ المزْدَلِفَةَ، فَجَمع بيْنَ المغْربِ والْعِشَاءِ حَتَّى إذَا أَصبَحَ رسولُ الله ﷺ غَدا حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَى وقف على قُزح، وَأَردفَ الفضلَ بنَ العباسِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَذَا الموقفُ، وكلُّ المزْدَلفَةِ مَوْقفٌ، وارْفَعُوا عْن بَطنِ محسرٍ ثُمَّ دَفَعَ رسولُ الله ﷺ حِينَ أَسْفَرَ سَيرَ الْعُنُقِ، والنَّاسُ يضربُونَ يمينًا وشمالًا، ورسول الله ﷺ يَلتَفتُ يمينًا وشمالًا ويقولُ: السَّكِينَةُ عَلَيْكُم أيَّها الناسُ، حتَّى جَاءَ بَطنَ محسرٍ فَحَرَّكَ نَاقَتَهُ نَاحية وَرَسمت بهِ، حتَّى إذَا جَاوزَ بطنَ محْسرٍ رَدَّهَا إلى سَيْرهَا الأَوَّلِ، حَتَّى جَاءَ العقبةَ، فَرمَاهَا بِسَبْع حَصَيَات، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلى المنْحر، فَقَالَ: هَذَا المنْحَرُ، وكُل منًى مَنْحَرٌ، ثُمَّ جَاءَتْهُ جَارِيةٌ مِن خَثْعم وقَالتْ يَا رسولَ الله: أَبِى شَيْخ كبيرٌ، وَأَدْرَكَتْهُ فَرِيضَة الإِسْلامِ التى افْتَرضَ الله -تَعَالَى- عَلَيْه أفيجزِى عَنْه أَنْ أَحُجَّ عَنْه؟ فَقَالَ رسولُ الله ﷺ : نَعَمْ وكَانَ الفضلُ غلامًا جَميلًا، فَإِذَا جَاءَتْ الجاريةُ منِ هَذَا الجَانِبِ صَرفَ رسولُ الله ﷺ وَجههُ إِلى الشِّقِ الآخَرِ، ثُمَّ سَار رسولُ الله ﷺ حَتَى جَاءَ البيتَ، فَطافَ سبعًا، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى زَمْزَمَ فَأتى بِسجْلٍ مِنْ

مَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأ ثُمَّ قَالَ: انْزِعُوا عَلَى سِقَايَتكُم يَا بنى عَبْدِ المُطلب، فَلولَا أَنْ يَغْلبَكُم الناسُ عَلَيْها لَنَزعتُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ العباسُ: يَا رسولَ الله رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْرِفُ وجهَ ابنِ عَمِّكَ؟ فَقَالَ رسولُ الله ﷺ رَأَيْتُ جَارِيةً حَدَثةً وغلامًا حدثًا فخشيتُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ الشيطانُ بَيْنَهْمَا".
