[Machine] "Where did they come from?" They said, "We came from the presence of Prince Marwan." He said, "And every truth you witnessed, you spoke about it and supported it, and every evil you witnessed, you denied and rejected it." They said, "No, by Allah, rather he says what is not denied, so we say: You have certainly hit the mark, may Allah rectify you. And when we leave his presence, we say: May Allah fight him, how unjust and corrupt he is." Abdullah said, "We used to count this as hypocrisy for anyone who acted in such a way during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."  

مِنْ أَيْنَ جَاءَ هَؤُلَاءِ؟ قَالُوا خَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِ الْأَمِيرِ مَرْوَانَ قَالَ وَكُلُّ حَقٍّ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ تَكَلَّمْتُمْ بِهِ وَأَعَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَكُلُّ مُنْكَرٍ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ أَنْكَرْتُمُوهُ وَرَدَدْتُمُوهُ عَلَيْهِ قَالُوا لَا وَاللهِ بَلْ يَقُولُ مَا يُنْكَرُ فَنَقُولُ قَدْ أَصَبْتَ أَصْلَحَكَ اللهُ فَإِذَا خَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ قُلْنَا قَاتَلَهُ اللهُ مَا أَظْلَمَهُ وَأَفْجَرَهُ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ كُنَّا بِعَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نَعُدُّ هَذَا نِفَاقًا لِمَنْ كَانَ هَكَذَا
