[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , it was narrated that he performed the noon prayer (Dhuhr) five times. It was then said to him, "Should we increase in the prayer?" The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What is that?" They replied, "You performed five prayer units (rakahs) for Dhuhr." He then performed two prostrations after finishing the prayer (sujood sahw). Shu'bah said, "I heard Sulayman and Hammad narrating that Ibrahim did not know whether he performed three or five units for Dhuhr prayer."  

أحمد:٤٤٣١ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَلَهُ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ فَقَالُوا إِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَسَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ وَحَمَّادًا يُحَدِّثَانِ أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ كَانَ لَا يَدْرِي أَثَلَاثًا صَلَّى أَمْ خَمْسًا

Once Messenger of Allah ﷺ offered five rakʿat in the Zuhr prayer, and somebody asked him whether there was some increase in the prayer. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What is that?" He said, "You have offered five rakʿat." So Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed two prostrations of Sahu after Taslim.  

البخاري:١٢٢٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ؓ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ وَمَا ذَاكَ قَالَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ  

abudawud:1019 – Ḥafṣ b. ʿUmar And Muslim b. Ibrāhīm al-Maʿná > Ḥafṣ > Shuʿbah > al-Ḥakam > Ibrāhīm > ʿAlqamah > ʿAbdullāh

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed five rak’ahs in the noon prayer. He was asked whether the prayer had been extended. He asked what they meant by that. The people said : you prayed five rak’ahs. Then he made two prostrations after having given the salutation.  

أبو داود:١٠١٩ – حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَمُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمَعْنَى قَالَ حَفْصٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَزِيدَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ قَالَ وَمَا ذَاكَ قَالَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ مَا سَلَّمَ  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيِ السَّهْوِ فِي هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ السَّلَامِ لَا قَبْلُ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَقِيلَ زِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ شَيْءٌ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ » قَالُوا إِنَّكَ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ بَعْدَمَا سَلَّمَ
