[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ proposed to a woman from his people, known as Sawda. She was a widow with five or six children from her deceased husband. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ asked her, "What stops you from accepting me?" She replied, "By Allah, O Prophet of Allah, nothing stops me from you except that you are not the most beloved person to me, but I honor you by having these children stay with you day and night." He asked her, "Is there anything else that stops you from me?" She replied, "No, by Allah." The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to her, "May Allah have mercy on you. The best women rode on the backs of camels (referring to noble women of Quraysh) but you prefer your children over a husband with all your heart."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ gave a sermon to a woman from his people, known as Sawda, who was widowed and had five or six children from her previous husband. The Prophet ﷺ asked her, "What prevents you from being with me?" She replied, "By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, nothing prevents me from being with you except that I would like to be the most honorable woman to you. However, I would like you to take care of these children at your side, morning and evening." The Prophet ﷺ asked her, "Is there anything else that prevents you from being with me?" She said, "No, by Allah." Upon hearing this, the Prophet ﷺ said, "May Allah have mercy on you. Indeed, the best women who rode the fastest camels were the righteous women of the Quraysh. They loved their children when they were young and cared for their husbands themselves."
