[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came with a cup and he went around the people. There was a man among them who was fasting. When he reached him, he said to him, "Drink." It was said to him, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed he does not break his fast or he fasts forever." He said, meant by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "No one fasts forever."  

أحمد:٢٧٥٧٦حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ شَهْرٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ قَالَتْ

أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِشَرَابٍ فَدَارَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ وَفِيهِمْ رَجُلٌ صَائِمٌ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَهُ قَالَ لَهُ اشْرَبْ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يُفْطِرُ أَوْ َيَصُومُ الدَّهْرَ فَقَالَ يَعْنِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَا صَامَ مَنْ صَامَ الْأَبَدَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came with a drink and went around the people. Among them was a man who was fasting. It was said: O Messenger of Allah, he fasts perpetually (all the time). He said: He has not fasted who fasts continuously.
