"The wives of the Prophet (PBUH) said to her, 'Indeed, people are trying to please him with their gifts,' so he mentioned its meaning to us."  

أحمد:٢٦٥١٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أُخْتِهِ رُمَيْثَةَ ابْنَةِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ

أَنَّ نِسَاءَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قُلْنَ لَهَا إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَتَحَرَّوْنَ بِهَدَايَاهُمْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
