[Machine] "When the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , was in a state of janaba and wanted to sleep, he would perform ablution. Waki' and Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated in this hadith that when he wanted to sleep or eat, he would perform ablution. Yahya mentioned that Shu'bah left out the narration of al-Hakam regarding janaba when he wanted to eat, and instead mentioned the narration of the Messenger of Allah."  

أحمد:٢٥٥٨٤حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا كَانَ جُنُبًا فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ تَوَضَّأَ قَالَ وَكِيعٌ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَأْكُلَ تَوَضَّأَ قَالَ يَحْيَى تَرَكَ شُعْبَةُ حَدِيثَ الْحَكَمِ فِي الْجُنُبِ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ تَوَضَّأَ
