When Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell ill, Gabriel used to recite this: "In the name of Allah, may He cure you from all kinds of illnesses and safeguard you from the evil of a jealous one when he feels jealous and from the evil influence of eye."

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَقَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ قَالَ بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ يُبْرِيكَ وَمِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ يَشْفِيكَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ وَشَرِّ كُلِّ ذِي عَيْنٍ

“The Prophet ﷺ came to visit me (when I was sick), and said to me: ‘Shall I not recite for you a Ruqyah that Jibra’il brought to me?’ I said: ‘May my father and mother be ransomed for you! Yes, O Messenger of Allah!’ He said: Bismillah arqika, wallahu yashfika, min kulli da’in fika, min sharrin- naffathati fil-‘uqad, wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad (In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from every disease that is in you, and from the evil of those who (practice witchcraft when they) blow in the knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies), three times.”

جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَعُودُنِي فَقَالَ لِي أَلاَ أَرْقِيكَ بِرُقْيَةٍ جَاءَنِي بِهَا جِبْرَائِيلُ قُلْتُ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ وَاللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ فِيكَ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ

“I heard ‘Ubadah bin Samit say: ‘Jibra’il (as) came to the Prophet ﷺ when he was suffering from fever and said: ‘Bismillahi arqika, min kulli shay’in yu’dhika, min hasadi hasidin, wa min kulli ‘aynin, Allahu yashfika (In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from everything that is harming you; from the envy of the envier and from every evil eye, may Allah heal you).’”

سَمِعْتُ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ يَقُولُ أَتَى جِبْرَائِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُوعَكُ فَقَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ مِنْ حَسَدِ حَاسِدٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ اللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ entered upon me while I was complaining. Abdul Rahman mentioned in his narration that the Prophet asked me, "Shall I not teach you?" Abdul Rahman replied, "Should I not perform Ruqyah on you, as Gabriel performed Ruqyah on himself?" I said, "Yes, please, O my father and mother." The Prophet said, "In the name of Allah, I perform Ruqyah upon you, and Allah will cure you from every disease that harms you, and from the evil of those who practice sorcery and envy." Abdul Rahman added, "From every disease that exists in you."

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَأَنَا أَشْتَكِي قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ يَعُودُنِي فَقَالَ أَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ؟ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ أَلَا أَرْقِيكَ بِرُقْيَةٍ رَقَانِي بِهَا جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ؟ قُلْتُ بَلَى بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي قَالَ بِسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ وَاللهُ يَشْفِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ وَمِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ فِيكَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ complained, so Jibril (Gabriel) came to him and said, "In the name of Allah, I seek to protect you from everything that harms you, from every envious person and from the evil eye. May Allah heal you."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ اشْتَكَى فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ بِسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ حَاسِدٍ وَعَيْنٍ اللهُ يَشْفِيكَ

[AI] "Narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that Gabriel came to him while thundering and said, 'In the name of Allah, I seek refuge for you from everything that may harm you, from every envious person and from every evil eye, and in the name of Allah, I pray for your healing.'"

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَتَاهُ وَهُوَ يُرْعِدُ فَقَالَ باِسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ حَسَدِ حَاسِدٍ وَكُلِّ عَيْنٍ وَاسْمُ اللهِ يَشْفِيكَ

“The Prophet ﷺ came to visit me (when I was sick), and said to me: ‘Shall I not recite for you a Ruqyah that Jibra’il brought to me?’ I said: ‘May my father and mother be ransomed for you! جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَعُودُنِي فَقَالَ «أَلَا أَرْقِيكَ بِرُقْيَةٍ رَقَانِي بِهَا جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ؟» فَقُلْتُ بَلَى بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي قَالَ «بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ وَاللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ فِيكَ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ» فَرَقَى بِهَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍسكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

[AI] "Narrated by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that Gabriel ﷺ came to him while he was feeling unwell and said, 'In the name of Allah, I seek healing for you from everything that harms you, from every envious person and envy, from every distress, and the name of Allah will cure you.'"

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ أَتَاهُ وَهُوَ يُوعَكُ فَقَالَ «بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ حَسَدٍ وَحَاسِدٍ وَكُلِّ غَمٍّ وَاسْمُ اللَّهِ يَشْفِيكَ»

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Gabriel performed ruqyah on him while he was ill, and he said, 'In the name of Allah, I perform ruqyah on you from every sickness that harms you, from every envier when he envies you, and from every evil eye. And may Allah cure you.'"

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ رَقَاهُ وَهُوَ يُوعَكُ فَقَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ وَاسْمُ (*) وَاللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ»

[AI] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Gabriel visited him while he was ill and said, "In the name of Allah, I will cure you from every illness that harms you, from every envious person when they envy, and from every evil eye. By the name of Allah, Allah will grant you healing."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ رَقَاهُ وَهُوَ يُوعَكُ فَقَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ وَمَنْ كُلِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ وَمَنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ وَاسْمُ اللَّهِ (*) وَاللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ»

قال جاء النَّبِيّ ﷺ يعودني فقال ألا أرقيك برقية رقاني بها جبريل؟ قلت بلى بأبي وأمي فقال بسم الله أرقيك من كل داء فيك من النفاثات في العقد وَمَنْ شر حاسد إذا حسد أبو حبيبة عَن أبي هُرَيرة

“The Prophet ﷺ came to visit me (when I was sick), and said to me: ‘Shall I not recite for you a Ruqyah that Jibra’il brought to me?’ I said: ‘May my father and mother be ransomed for you! Yes, O Messenger of Allah!’ He said: Bismillah arqika, wallahu yashfika, min kulli da’in fika, min sharrin- naffathati fil-‘uqad, wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad (In the Name of Allah I perform Ruqyah for you, from every disease that is in you, and from the evil of those who (practice witchcraft when they) blow in the knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies), three times.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3524)

جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا يَعُودُنِي فَقَالَ «أَلَا أَرْقِيكَ بِرُقْيَةٍ رَقَانِي بِهَا جِبْرِيلُ؟» قُلْتُ بَلَى بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي قَالَ «بِسْمِ اللهِ أَرْقِيكَ وَاللهُ يَشْفِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ فِيكَ مِنْ شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ»

"أَلا أَرْقِيكَ بِرُقْيَةِ رَقَانِى بِهَا جِبْرِيلُ؟ تَقُولُ: بِسْم اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ وَاللَّهُ

يَشْفِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ يأتيكَ، مِنْ شرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ في العُقَدِ، وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذا حَسَدَ، تُرْقَى بِهَا ثَلاثَ مَرَّات ".

" عَنْ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ أنَّ جِبْرِيلَ رَقَاهُ وَهُوَ يُوعَكُ، فَقَالَ: بسْم الله أَرْقِيكَ، مِنْ كُلِّ دَاء يُؤْذِيكَ، مِنْ كُلِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ، مِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ، وَاسْمُ الله يَشْفِيكَ".

"دَخَلَ عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وأَنَا أشْتكِى فَقَالَ: أَلَا أرْقيكَ بِرُقْيةٍ عَلَّمِنيهَا جِبْريل، بِاسْمِ الله أَرْقِيكَ والله يَشْفِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ إربٍ يُؤْذِيكَ، وَمنْ شَرِّ النَّفاثاتِ في العُقَدِ، ومِنْ شرِّ حاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ"
