[Machine] On the authority of Abu Dharr, a man who had reached the Prophet ﷺ about Aisha said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade men and women from using public baths. Then he permitted men to wear lower garments (mazirs), but did not permit it for women."  

أحمد:٢٥٠٨٥ – حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ

عَنْ أَبِي عُذْرَةَ رَجُلٌ كَانَ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْحَمَّامَاتِ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ لِلرِّجَالِ فِي الْمَآزِرِ وَلَمْ يُرَخِّصْ لِلنِّسَاءِ

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ وَإِسْنَادُهُ لَيْسَ بِذَاكَ الْقَائِمِ

forbade men and women to enter bathhouses, then he allowed men to enter them wearing a waist wrap, but he did not make the same allowance for women.  

ابن ماجة:٣٧٤٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُذْرَةَ قَالَ
