[Machine] Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had gifted Abi Jahal's camel that he had captured in the Battle of Badr, with a saddle made of silver, in the year of Hudaybiyyah, as a gesture of kindness. He said in another instance that he did so to provoke the polytheists.  

أحمد:٢٣٦٢ – حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ كَانَ أَهْدَى جَمَلَ أَبِي جَهْلٍ الَّذِي كَانَ اسْتَلَبَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فِي رَأْسِهِ بُرَةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فِي هَدْيِهِ وَقَالَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ لِيَغِيظَ بِذَلِكَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

In the year of al-Hudaybiyyah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ included among his sacrificial animals a camel with a silver nose-ring (Ibn Minhal's version has gold) which had belonged to AbuJahl (the version of an-Nufayli added) "thereby enraging the polytheists".

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَهْدَى عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فِي هَدَايَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ جَمَلاً كَانَ لأَبِي جَهْلٍ فِي رَأْسِهِ بُرَةُ فِضَّةٍ قَالَ ابْنُ مِنْهَالٍ بُرَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ زَادَ النُّفَيْلِيُّ يَغِيظُ بِذَلِكَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

«أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فِي هَدَايَاهُ جَمَلًا لِأَبِي جَهْلٍ فِي رَأْسِهِ بُرَّةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ لِيَغِيظَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِذَلِكَ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ
