[Machine] I heard Abu Umamah say, "When you perform the ritual purification (taharah) in its designated places, you will be seated forgiven. If he stands up to pray, it will be a virtue and reward for him. But if he remains seated, he will still be seated forgiven." A man then asked him, "O Abu Umamah, if he stands up and prays, will he have an optional prayer (naflah)?" Abu Umamah replied, "No, the optional prayer is only for the Prophet ﷺ. How can he have an optional prayer while he is burdened with sins and transgressions? He will have virtue and reward."
