[Machine] We were told by Sayyar, who said: "Bring me heads from Iraq." So they were brought and placed at the entrance of the mosque. Then Abu Umamah came and entered the mosque, performing two units of prayer, then he came out and looked at them. He raised his head and said, "The worst of those killed under the sky are three, and the best of those killed under the sky are those who are killed." He said, "The dogs of Hellfire, three times." Then he wept and turned away from them. Someone said to him, "O Abu Umamah, what do you think of this statement? Did you hear it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , or is it something you say based on your own opinion?" He said, "Glory be to Allah! If I had heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ once or twice, even if he had mentioned it seven times, I would never forget it." The man asked him, "For what reason did you weep?" He replied, "Out of mercy for them or from His mercy."

[Machine] Seventy heads of the Azarah came and camped on the steps of Damascus for seven days. Three of the seven days had passed and it was the fourth day when Abu Umamah came and performed two units of prayer at Sariyah. He said, "The dogs of Hellfire will kill three times worse than those who were killed under the shade of the sky. The best of those who were killed are those who were killed under the shade of the sky." So I said, "O Abu Umamah, is this something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ or is it something you say on your own?" He said, "In that case, I am bold. Rather, I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not once, not twice, but until it reached seven times."
