[Machine] A man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ was injured, and the injury became serious. He suffered greatly and then killed himself using a knife. The Prophet ﷺ did not offer the funeral prayer for him and said, "All of this is from his own acts. Abdullah bin Amr wrote it in his book for us, and I do not consider this addition to be anything other than a statement from Shaykh (meaning a partner) who said, 'All of this is from his own acts.'"

It was narrated from Jabir bin Samurah that a man from among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ was wounded, and the wound caused him a great deal of pain. He went and took a spearhead, and slaughtered himself with it. The Prophet ﷺ did not offer the funeral prayer for him, and that was as an admonition for others.
