[AI] He was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Battle of Tabuk when he came across a hanging piece of meat in front of a house. He asked for a drink and was told that it was dead meat. He said, "Its vulture is its legal owner."
أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ فَأَتَى عَلَى بَيْتٍ قُدَّامُهُ قِرْبَةٌ مُعَلَّقَةٌ فَسَأَلَ الشَّرَابَ فَقِيلَإِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ فَقَالَ ذَكَاتُهَا دِبَاغُهَا
On the expedition of Tabuk the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to a household and, seeing a bucket hanging, asked for water. They said: Messenger of Allah, the animal died a natural death. He replied; Its tanning is its purification.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ أَتَى عَلَى بَيْتٍ فَإِذَا قِرْبَةٌ مُعَلَّقَةٌ فَسَأَلَ الْمَاءَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ فَقَالَ دِبَاغُهَا طُهُورُهَا
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a house with a hanging bucket in its courtyard, so he asked for water. It was said to him that the water is stagnant. He said, "The dyeing of the water skin beautifies it."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِبَيْتٍ بِفِنَائِهِ قِرْبَةٌ مُعَلَّقَةٌ فَاسْتَسْقَى فَقِيلَ إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ قَالَ ذَكَاةُ الْأَدِيمِ دِبَاغُهُ
[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ came to a house and there was a slaughtered (animal) hanging. So the Prophet ﷺ asked for a drink. They said, 'Indeed, it is dead.' So the one who skinned it said, 'Its zakat (due) is (given by) me.'"
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَتَى عَلَى بَيْتٍ قُدَّامُهُ قِرْبَةٌ مُعَلَّقَةٌ فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الشَّرَابَ؟ فَقَالُوا إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ فَقَالَ دِبَاغُهَا ذَكَاتُهَا
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ came to a household to request water, and they said that it was from a well that had a carcass in it. The Prophet replied, "Its water is pure, and its carcass is its purification."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَتَى عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتٍفَاسْتَسْقَى فَإِذَا قِرْبَةٌ فِيهَا مَاءٌ فَقَالُوا إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ الْأَدِيمُ طُهُورُهُ دِبَاغُهُ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to a house in the courtyard of Tabuk, where there was a hanging carcass. He asked for water to drink, and it was said to him that it was dead. He replied, "The tannin of the hide purifies it."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَتَى عَلَى قِرْبَةٍ مُعَلَّقَةٍ فَاسْتَقَى فَقِيلَ إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ قَالَ «ذَكَاةُ الْأَدِيمِ دِبَاغُهُ»
[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ approached a woman and asked for water to drink. A piece of meat was brought to him and he drank from it. It was then said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, this is a dead animal.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, 'The tanning of its skin purifies it.'"
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَتَى امْرَأَةً فَاسْتَسْقَى فَأُتِيَ بِقِرْبَةٍ فَشَرِبَ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «دِبَاغُ الْأَدِيمِ طَهُورُهُ»
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came during the Battle of Tabuk to a house and found a water skin hung up. He asked for water and they said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is dead (i.e., impure)." He replied, "Its water is pure, just like this."
