[Machine] Indeed, I have a slave who has escaped, and I vowed that if I caught him, I would cut off his hand. He has now arrived at the bridge. [Someone] said, "O Hasan, do not cut off his hand." And [he] narrated to him that a man said to 'Imran bin Husayn, "Indeed, I have a slave who has escaped, and I vowed that if I catch him, I will cut off his hand." [Imran] said, "Do not cut off his hand, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to lead us in prayer or stand among us and he would command us to give in charity and he would forbid us from cutting off hands for such reason."  

أحمد:١٩٨٧٧حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ نُبِّئْتُ أَنَّ الْمِسْوَرِ جَاءَ إِلَى الْحَسَنِ فَقَالَ

إِنَّ غُلَامًا لِي أَبَقَ فَنَذَرْتُ إِنْ أَنَا عَايَنْتُهُ أَنْ أَقْطَعَ يَدَهُ فَقَدْ جَاءَ فَهُوَ الْآنَ بِالْجِسْرِ قَالَ فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ لَا تَقْطَعْ يَدَهُ وَحَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ إِنَّ عَبْدًا لِي أَبَقَ وَإِنِّي نَذَرْتُ إِنْ أَنَا عَايَنْتُهُ أَنْ أَقْطَعَ يَدَهُ قَالَ فَلَا تَقْطَعْ يَدَهُ؛ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَؤُمُّ فِينَا أَوْ قَالَ يَقُومُ فِينَا فَيَأْمُرُنَا بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَيَنْهَانَا عَنِالْمُثْلَةِ
