ahmad:17161al-Ḥakam b. Nāfiʿ > Ismāʿīl b. ʿAyyāsh > Ḍamḍam b. Zurʿah > Shurayḥ b. ʿUbayd

[Machine] Al-Arbaad bin Saariyah narrated that the Prophet ﷺ used to go out with us to the battlefield, and we would have walnuts with us. He would say, "If you only knew what we have stored for you, you would not be sad for what has been taken from you. And soon, you will conquer Persia and Rome."  

أحمد:١٧١٦١حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ قَالَ

الْعِرْبَاضُ بْنُ سَارِيَةَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَخْرُجُ إِلَيْنَا فِي الصُّفَّةِ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحَوْتَكِيَّةُ فَيَقُولُ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا ذُخِرَ لَكُمْ مَا حَزِنْتُمْ عَلَى مَا زُوِيَ عَنْكُمْ وَلَيُفْتَحَنَّ لَكُمْ فَارِسُ وَالرُّومُ

"عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ يَخْرُجُ إِلَيْنَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فِى الصُّفَّةِ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحَوْتَكِيَّةُ فَيَقُولُ: أَمَا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا دُخِر لَكُمْ مَا حَزنْتمْ عَلَى مَا زُوِىَ عَنْكُمْ، وَلَيُفْتَحَنَّ لَكُمْ فَارِسُ وَالرَّومُ".
