ahmad:16764 – Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > al-Nuʿmān b. Sālim > a man > Jubayr b. Muṭʿim

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, they claim that we have no reward in Makkah?" He said, "Your rewards will reach you, even if you were in the den of a fox." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lowered his head and said, "Indeed, among my companions are hypocrites."  

أحمد:١٦٧٦٤ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُمْ يَزْعُمُونَأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَنَا أَجْرٌ بِمَكَّةَ؟ قَالَ لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ أُجُورُكُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي جُحْرِ ثَعْلَبٍ قَالَ فَأَصْغَى إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِرَأْسِهِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِي أَصْحَابِي مُنَافِقِينَ

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, some people claim that we do not have any rewards in Makkah?" He said, "Your rewards will come to you, even if one of you were in the den of a fox."
