I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: There is nothing (in the form of trouble) that comes to a believer even if it is the pricking of a thorn that there is decreed for him by Allah good or his sins are obliterated.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ شَىْءٍ يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ تُصِيبُهُ إِلاَّ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً أَوْ حُطَّتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no believing person who is pricked with a thorn or anything higher than it, except that a rank is written for him and a sin is expiated for him due to it."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةٌ وَكُفِّرَ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whenever a believer is afflicted with a hardship, Allah removes from him a sin and writes for him a good deed, and elevates him in rank."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا ضَرَبَ مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ عِرْقٌ إِلَّا حَطَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِهِ خَطِيئَةً وَكَتَبَ لَهُ بِهِ حَسَنَةً وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهِ دَرَجَةً»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There is no believer who is pricked by a thorn or anything greater, except that Allah expiates his sins and raises his rank with it."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ تَشُوكُهُ شَوْكَةٌ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا حَطَّ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً

"مَا مِنْ شَيءٍ يُصِيبُ المُؤْمِنَ حتَّى الشَّوْكَة تُصِيبُهُ، إِلا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً، أَوْ حُطَّتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ".

"مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يسْجُدُ لله سَجْدةً إِلا كَتَبَ اللهُ لهُ بها حسَنَةً وَحطَّ عنْهُ بها خَطِيئةً".

"مَا مِنْ مُسْلِم يَشِيبُ شَيبَةً في الإِسْلامِ إِلَّا كتَب الله لَه بهَا حَسَنَةً، وَحَطَّ عَنْه بها خَطيئَةً".
