[Machine] "He (the narrator) heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, 'Whoever steals a handspan of land, a collar from seven earths will be wrapped around his neck.' Ma'mar said, 'It was mentioned to me by Az-Zuhri, but I did not hear it from him. He added in this hadith: 'And whoever is killed over his wealth, he is a martyr.'"  

أحمد:١٦٣٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ سَرَقَ مِنَ الأَرْضِ شِبْرًا طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ قَالَ مَعْمَرٌ وَبَلَغَنِي عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنْهُ زَادَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ

Are you not aware that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had observed:" He who died in protecting his property is a martyr." (Using translation from Muslim 141a)
