[Machine] "My father, we lived with our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and we had nothing to eat except for dates and water," then he said, "Do you know what 'aswadan' means?" I said, "No." He said, "Dates and water."
أَبِي لَقَدْ عَمَّرْنَا مَعَ نَبِيِّنَا ﷺ وَمَا لَنَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا الْأَسْوَدَانِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَلْ تَدْرِي مَا الْأَسْوَدَانِ؟ قُلْتُ لَا قَالَ التَّمْرُ وَالْمَاءُ
[Machine] "My father said, 'We fought alongside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we had nothing to eat except for two things.' He asked, 'Do you know what those two things are?' I said, 'No.' He replied, 'Water and dates.'"
أَبِي «لَقَدْ غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَمَا لَنَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا الْأَسْوَدَانِ» قَالَ «وَهَلْ تَدْرِي مَا الْأَسْوَدَانِ؟» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «الْمَاءُ وَالتَّمْرُ»
[Machine] My father said to me, "We have lived like this with our Prophet and we only have two types of food, dates and water." I asked him, "Do you know what the two types are?" He replied, "Dates and water."
