[Machine] Qutaylah, the daughter of Abdul-Uzza bin Abd As'ad from the Banu Malik bin Hasal tribe, came to visit her daughter Asma, the daughter of Abu Bakr, bringing gifts of lizards, oak, and clarified butter, while she was still a polytheist. However, Asma refused to accept her gifts or allow her into her house. Aisha then asked the Prophet ﷺ about this, and Allah ﷻ revealed the verse {Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion} [Al-Mumtahanah 8] to the end of the verse. Therefore, the Prophet ﷺ instructed her to accept her mother's gifts and allow her into her house.
