ahmad:16009 – Hāshim > Abū Faḍālah al-Faraj > Abū Saʿd

[Machine] I saw Waathilah ibn Al-Asqa' praying in the mosque of Damascus. He spat under his left foot and then rubbed it with his right foot. When he finished, I said, "You are one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and you spat in the mosque?" He replied, "That is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ doing."  

أحمد:١٦٠٠٩ – حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو فَضَالَةَ الْفَرَجُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يُصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ دِمَشْقَ فَبَزَقَ تَحْتَ رِجْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ عَرَكَهَا بِرِجْلِهِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قُلْتُ أَنْتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تَبْزُقُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ؟ قَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُ

أَبُو سَعْدٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ

[Machine] I saw Wahilah ibn Al-Asqa'ah enter the mosque of Damascus and pray in it, then he spat under his left foot and wiped it. When he left, I said to him, "Do you spit in the mosque while you are amongst the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He said, "That is what I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do."  

الطبراني:١٨٥٠٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءَ أَنَبَأَ فَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ثنا أَبُو سَعْدٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ دَخَلَ مَسْجِدَ دِمَشْقَ فَصَلَّى فِيهِ وَبَزَقَ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ عَرَكَهَا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قُلْتُ لَهُ أَتَبْزُقُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَأَنْتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَلَ»
