[Machine] "He cooked a meat dish for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in which there was a pot, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Serve me the arm of the sheep.' So he served it to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, 'Serve me the arm of the sheep.' So he served it to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, 'Serve me the arm of the sheep.' So he said, 'O Prophet of Allah, how many arms does a sheep have?'. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if you had remained silent, you would have been given a (living) arm the same size as what you have asked for.'"  

أحمد:١٥٩٦٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ

أَنَّهُ طَبَخَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قِدْرًا فِيهَا لَحْمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَاوِلْنِي ذِرَاعَهَا فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ نَاوِلْنِي ذِرَاعَهَا فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ نَاوِلْنِي ذِرَاعَهَا فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ كَمْ لِلشَّاةِ مِنْ ذِرَاعٍ؟ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ سَكَتَّ لَأَعْطَتْكَ ذِرَاعًا مَا دَعَوْتَ بِهِ

Then he said, 'Serve me the forearm,' so he served him another forearm. Then he said, 'Serve me the forearm,' so I said, 'O Prophet of Allah, how many forearms does a sheep have?' He said, 'By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if you had remained silent, I would have given you forearms as many as you asked for.'"

أَنَّهُ طَبَخَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ قِدْرًا فَقَالَ لَهُ «نَاوِلْنِي ذِرَاعَهَا» وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ الذِّرَاعُ فَنَاوَلَهُ الذِّرَاعَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلَهُ ذِرَاعًا ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ وَكَمْ لِلشَّاةِ مِنْ ذِرَاعٍ؟ فَقَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ أَنْ لَوْ سَكَتَّ لَأُعْطِيتُ أَذْرُعًا مَا دَعَوْتُ بِهِ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon us and we had cooked mutton with us. He said, "O Abu Rafi', give me the forearm." So I handed it to him and he ate it. Then he said, "Give me the forearm." So I handed it to him and he ate it. Then he said, "Give me the forearm." So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, does the mutton have anything other than two forearms?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you had remained silent, I would have continued to eat forearms as long as I wished."  

الطبراني:٩٧٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ سَلْمَى عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ

دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعِنْدَنَا شَاةٌ مَطْبُوخَةٌ فَقَالَ «يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَأَكَلَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ فَأَكَلَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَهَلْ لِلشَّاةِ إِلَّا ذِرَاعَانِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ سَكَتَّ لَأَعْطَيْتَنِي أَذْرُعًا مَا دَعَوْتُهَا»
