[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , would return from a journey, he would start by going to the mosque and perform two units of prayer. Then, he would give the greeting of peace and sit in his place of prayer, and people would come and greet him.  

أحمد:١٥٧٧٢حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ وَكَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَحَدُ الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّذِينَ تِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنَّ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍبَدَأَ بِالْمَسْجِدِ فَسَبَّحَ فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَجَلَسَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ فَيَأْتِيهِ النَّاسُ فَيُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْهِ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ» إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ بَدَأَ بِالْمَسْجِدِ فَسَبَّحَ فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَجَلَسَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ فَيَأْتِيهِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فَيُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْهِ

[Machine] His father, Ka'b, used to say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would enter the mosque after returning from a journey, then he would pray two Rak'ahs, then he would sit among the people for their discussions and questions."
