ahmad:14834 – Yūnus > Ḥammād / Ibn Salamah > ʿAlī b. Zayd And ʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal > Abū Naḍrah > Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] We enjoyed two things during the time of the Prophet ﷺ, which were Hajj and women. Then Umar prohibited us from both, so we stopped.  

أحمد:١٤٨٣٤ – حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَعَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

تَمَتَّعْنَا مُتْعَتَيْنِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْحَجَّ وَالنِّسَاءَ فَنَهَانَا عُمَرُ عَنْهُمَا فَانْتَهَيْنَا

[Machine] We enjoyed during the time of the Prophet Mohammad, ﷺ , the pleasures of performing Hajj and having wives. Hamad also said the pleasure of Hajj and the pleasure of women. But when Umar forbade us from them, we stopped.

تَمَتَّعْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مُتْعَتَيْنِ الْحَجَّ وَالنِّسَاءَ وَقَدْ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ أَيْضًا مُتْعَةَ الْحَجِّ وَمُتْعَةَ النِّسَاءِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ عُمَرُ نَهَانَا عَنْهُمَا فَانْتَهَيْنَا
