[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said on the day of Uhud, while wiping the blood from his face, "How will a people succeed who harmed their prophet and broke their covenant with him, while he was calling them to Allah?"

So Allah revealed, "It is not for you [O Muhammad] to decide; whether He should turn in mercy to them or punish them, indeed, they are wrongdoers." [Surah Al-Imran 3:128]  

أحمد:١٣٦٥٧حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

"On the Day of Uhud, the incisors of the Prophet ﷺ were broken, and he had a facial wound in the area of the forehead, such that the blood flowed over his face. He said: 'How can a people that do this to their Prophet succeed, while he is calling them to Allah?' So the following was revealed: Not for you is the decision; whether He turns in mercy towards them or punished them... (3:128) until its end."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:٣٠٠٢حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

"The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was wounded, his incisors were broken, and he was struck by an arrow on his shoulder. While blood was flowing over his face and he was wiping it, he said: 'How can a nation succeed while they are doing this to their Prophet and he is calling them to Allah?' So Allah, Most High revealed: Not for you is the decision; whether He turns in mercy towards them or punishes them; verily they are the wrongdoers (3:128)."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.

On the Day of Uhud, a molar of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was broken and he was wounded. Blood started pouring down his face, and he started to wipe his face and say: “How can any people prosper if they soak the face of their Prophet with blood when he is calling them to Allah?” Then Allah revealed: “Not for you is the decision.”[3:128]

[Machine] It was narrated that the Prophet ﷺ was struck on his face on the day of Uhud, and his tooth was broken, and he was hit with a stone on his shoulder, causing blood to flow on his face. He wiped it off while saying, "How can a nation succeed when they harm their Prophet, while their Prophet is calling them to Allah?" Then Allah revealed the verse, "You have no power over the affair, or over them. But if they turn away, then your duty is only to convey the message" [Surah Al-Imran 128] until the end of the verse.

He began wiping the blood from his face while saying, 'How can a people succeed who have splattered the face of their Prophet with blood while he calls them to their Lord?' Then the following verse was revealed: 'It is not for you [O Muhammad] to decide their fate or guide them. Indeed, they are the wrongdoers.' (Quran 3:128)"

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was supplicating against four people, so Allah, Blessed and Most High, revealed: Not for you is the decision; whether He turns in mercy towards them or punishes them; verily they are the wrongdoers (3:128). ابن حبّان:٦٥٧٥أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ يَسْلُتُ الدَّمُ عَنْ وَجْهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «كَيْفَ يُفْلِحُ قَوْمٌ شَجُّوا نَبِيَّهُمْ وَكَسَرُوا رَبَاعِيَتَهُ وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ» فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ {لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ}

[Machine] Anas said that the cheek of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was fractured on the day of Uhud and bled, and he wiped away the blood from his face and said, "How can a people succeed who have smeared the face of their Prophet while he is calling them to Islam?" So Allah revealed, "It is not for you [O Muhammad], to decide a matter. If it had been an immediate decision, they would have been judged immediately. But to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] affairs. Or He will give them repentance and forgiveness, for indeed they have been wrongdoers." [Quran 3:128] The wording is from Khalid.
