" There has come to you Ramadan in which the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of the fire are closed and the devils are chained up." (Sahih) Abu 'Abdur-Rahman said: this narration is a mistake. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2103)   

أحمد:١٣٤٧٤ – حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ ذَكَرَ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ أُوَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي أُوَيْسِ عَدِيدِ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ هَذَا رَمَضَانُ قَدْ جَاءَ تُفْتَحُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ وَتُغْلَقُ فِيهِ أَبْوَابُ النَّارِ وَتُسَلْسَلُ فِيهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ

ابن حبّان:٣٤٣٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَنَسٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا كَانَ رَمَضَانُ فُتِحَتْ لَهُ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ وَغُلِّقَتْ أَبْوَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَسُلْسِلَتِ الشَّيَاطِينُ»
