[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise his hands in supplication until the whiteness of his armpits was visible. I mentioned that to Ali ibn Zaid, and he said, "That is only in seeking rain." I said, "Did you hear that from Anas?" He said, "Subhan Allah."  

أحمد:١٣٢٥٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبِطَيْهِ قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ؟ قَالَ سُبْحَانَاللهِ
