[Machine] The Prophet's companions asked the Prophet ﷺ, "The people of the Book greet us, so how should we respond to them?" The Prophet replied, "Say, 'And upon you, as well as the pilgrims.' Shu'bah said, 'I did not ask Qatadah about this narration. Have you heard it from Anas?'"

أحمد:١٢١٤١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

سَأَلَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ يُسَلِّمُونَ عَلَيْنَا فَكَيْفَ نَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ؟ قَالَ فَقُولُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ وَحَجَّاجٌ مِثْلَهُ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ لَمْ أَسْأَلْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ هَلْ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ
