[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are on a barren land, so what should we do?" He (the Prophet) said, "It has reached me that a nation from the Children of Israel was transformed into animals. I do not know which animals they were, so I cannot command or forbid anything."  

أحمد:١١١٤٤ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ مَضَبَّةٍ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ أُمَّةً مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مُسِخَتْ دَوَابَّ فَمَا أَدْرِي أَيُّ الدَّوَابِّ هِيَ؟ فَلَمْ يَأْمُرْ وَلَمْ يَنْهَ

البيهقي:١٩٤٢١ – أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرَّزَّازُ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنبأ دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ؓ قَالَ

"عَنْ أبِى سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: أتى النبيُّ ﷺ بِضَبٍّ فَقَالَ: إِنَا بَأرْضِ مضبَة فما تَأمُرنَا؟ فَقَالَ رسولُ الله ﷺ بَلَغَنِي أن أمةً مِنْ بَنِي إسرائيلَ مُسخِتْ دَوَابَّ فلَا أدْرِى أي الدوابِ هِى، فَلم يَأمُرْ وَلَمْ يَنْهَ".
