ahmad-zuhd:696ʿAbdullāh from my father > Abū al-Mundhir Ismāʿīl b. ʿUmar > Sufyān > Saʿīd b. ʿUbayd > ʿAlī b. Rabīʿah

[Machine] Ali, ﷺ , had two wives. When it was the day of one of them, he would buy meat for half a dirham, and when it was the day of the other, he would also buy meat for half a dirham.  

الزهد لأحمد:٦٩٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ

«أَنَّ عَلِيًّا عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ كَانَ لَهُ امْرَأَتَانِ كَانَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ هَذِهِ اشْتَرَى لَحْمًا بِنِصْفِ دِرْهَمٍ وَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ هَذِهِ اشْتَرَى لَحْمًا بِنِصْفِ دِرْهَمٍ»
