الزهد لأحمد:٦٦١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَمْرِوٍ الضَّبِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ الطَّائِفِيُّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَانَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ حِينَ طُعِنَ وَرَأَيْتُهُ فِي التُّرَابِ فَذَهَبْتُ أَرْفَعُهُ فَقَالَ

«دَعْنِي وَيْلِي وَوَيْلُ أُمِّي إِنْ لَمْ يُغْفَرْ لِي وَوَيْلِي وَوَيْلُ أُمِّي إِنْ لَمْ يُغْفَرْ لِي»
