ahmad-zuhd:626 – ʿAbdullāh > Bī > Wakīʿ > Sufyān > al-Aʿmash > Ibrāhīm al-Taymī > al-Ḥārith b. Sūwayd > a man from Ahl al-Kūfah Washá Biʿammār ؒ Taʿālá > ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb

[Machine] Amr said to him, "If you are lying, may Allah increase your wealth and children and make you tread the paths of humiliation."  

الزهد لأحمد:٦٢٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أبِي حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ وَشَى بِعَمَّارٍ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ فَقَالَ

لَهُ عَمَّارٌ «إِنْ كُنْتَ كَاذِبًا فَأَكْثَرَ اللَّهُ مَالَكَ وَوَلَدَكَ وَجَعَلَكَ مَوْطِئَ الْعَقِبَيْنِ»

[Machine] He (or she) has a builder. If you are lying, then Allah will increase your wealth, your children, and make you a target for people to step on both of your sides.
