When Yahya (John) peace be upon him was killed, some of his companions said to his friend, "Send me the shirt of the Prophet of Allah, Yahya, so that I may smell it. I have realized that I will be killed." He sent it to him, and when he received it, he found its scent and its flesh intact.  

الزهد لأحمد:٣٩٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أبِي حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا قُتِلَ يَحْيَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ قَالَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِهِ لِصَاحِبٍ لَهُ ابْعَثْ إِلَيَّ بِقَمِيصِ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ يَحْيَى أَشُمَّهُ؛ فَإِنِّي قَدْ عَرَفْتُ أَنِّي مَقْتُولٌ قَالَ فَبَعَثَ بِهِ إِلَيْهِ فَإِذَا سَدَاهُ وَلَحْمَتُهُ لِيفٌ
