[Machine] That the Prophet Dawud ﷺ used to be blamed for crying too often, so he would say, "Leave me to cry before the Day of Crying; before the burning of the bones and the igniting of the flax; before the angels, rough and tough, are commanded to do what they are commanded and to carry out what they are instructed."  

الزهد لأحمد:٣٦٠حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أبِي حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ [60] إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُهَاجِرِ

أَنَّ دَاوُدَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُعَاتَبُ فِي كَثْرَةِ الْبُكَاءِ فَيَقُولُ ذَرُونِي أَبْكِي قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْبُكَاءِ؛ قَبْلَ تَحْرِيقِ الْعِظَامِ وَاشْتِعَالِ اللِّحَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُؤْمَرَ بِي مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ
