[Machine] 'Isa, ﷺ , used to say: "If one of you is fasting, let him anoint his beard and wipe his lips, until he goes out to the people and they say, 'He is not fasting.'"  

الزهد لأحمد:٣١٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ قَالَ

كَانَ عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ يَقُولُ إِذَا كَانَ صَوْمُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَدْهِنْ لِحْيَتَهُ وَلْيَمْسَحْ شَفَتَيْهِ؛ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ إِلَى النَّاسِ يَقُولُونَ لَيْسَ بِصَائِمٍ
