[Machine] Kurdus used to narrate to us during the time of Hajjaj and he used to say: "Verily, Paradise can only be attained through sincere deeds. Purify your desires with fear and always remain on righteous actions. Seek refuge in Allah with sound hearts and sincere deeds. And it is frequently said, 'Whoever fears, is guided."'  

الزهد لأحمد:٢١٣٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمِّي يَذْكُرُ قَالَ

كَانَ كُرْدُوسُ يَقُصُّ عَلَيْنَا فِي زَمَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ فَيَقُولُ إِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ لَا تُنَالُ إِلَّا بِعَمَلٍ لَهَا أَخْلِصُوا الرَّغْبَةَ بِالرَّهْبَةِ وَدُومُوا عَلَى صَالِحِ الْأَعْمَالِ وَالْقَوْا اللَّهَ بِقُلُوبٍ سَلِيمَةٍ وَأَعْمَالٍ صَادِقَةٍ وَيَكْثُرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ مَنْ خَافَ أَدْلَجَ مَنْ خَافَ أَدْلَجَ
