[Machine] Kurdus used to narrate to us during the time of Hajjaj and he used to say: "Verily, Paradise can only be attained through sincere deeds. Purify your desires with fear and always remain on righteous actions. Seek refuge in Allah with sound hearts and sincere deeds. And it is frequently said, 'Whoever fears, is guided."'  

الزهد لأحمد:٢١٣٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمِّي يَذْكُرُ قَالَ

كَانَ كُرْدُوسُ يَقُصُّ عَلَيْنَا فِي زَمَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ فَيَقُولُ إِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ لَا تُنَالُ إِلَّا بِعَمَلٍ لَهَا أَخْلِصُوا الرَّغْبَةَ بِالرَّهْبَةِ وَدُومُوا عَلَى صَالِحِ الْأَعْمَالِ وَالْقَوْا اللَّهَ بِقُلُوبٍ سَلِيمَةٍ وَأَعْمَالٍ صَادِقَةٍ وَيَكْثُرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ مَنْ خَافَ أَدْلَجَ مَنْ خَافَ أَدْلَجَ

tirmidhi:2450 – Abū Bakr b. Abū al-Naḍr > Abū al-Naḍr

The messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever fears ˹an enemy attack˺, he travels at night, and whoever travels at night reaches his destination (security). Verily, the merchandise of Allah is expensive, and indeed Allah's merchandise is Jannah.  

الترمذي:٢٤٥٠ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو فَرْوَةَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ فَيْرُوزَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ خَافَ أَدْلَجَ، وَمَنْ أَدْلَجَ بَلَغَ الْمَنْزِلَ؛ أَلاَ إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللَّهِ غَالِيَةٌ، أَلاَ إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللَّهِ الْجَنَّةُ»  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي النَّضْرِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever fears Adlaj, and whoever reaches Adlaj has indeed reached the destination. Know that the merchandise of Allah is precious, and the merchandise of Allah is Paradise. The rumbling will follow it, and then the pebbles will follow it. Death has come with whatever it contains." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in his summary.  

الحاكم:٧٨٥٢ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْهِلَالِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْعَدَنِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ الطُّفَيْلِ بْنِ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ خَافَ أَدْلَجَ وَمَنْ أَدْلَجَ فَقَدْ بَلَغَ الْمَنْزِلَ أَلَا إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللَّهِ غَالِيَةٌ أَلَا إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللَّهِ الْجَنَّةُ جَاءَتِ الرَّاجِفَةُ تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ جَاءَ الْمَوْتُ بِمَا فِيهِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص  

hakim:7851 – ʿAbdullāh b. al-Ḥusayn al-Qāḍī Bimarw > al-Ḥārith b. Abū Usāmah > Abū al-Naḍr Hāshim b. al-Qāsim

"Whoever fears traveling at night - and whoever travels at night reaches his destination - Allah provides him with the most precious of goods, and indeed Allah's goods are but Paradise." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2450)  

الحاكم:٧٨٥١ – أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي بِمَرْوَ ثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ثَنَا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ فَيْرُوزَ يَقُولُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ خَافَ أَدْلَجَ وَمَنْ أَدْلَجَ فَقَدْ بَلَغَ الْمَنْزِلَ أَلَا إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللَّهِ غَالِيَةٌ أَلَا إِنَّ سِلْعَةَ اللَّهِ غَالِيَةٌ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
