ahmad-zuhd:1895ʿAbdullāh from my father > Sayyār > Jaʿfar > al-Muʿallá b. Ziyād

[Machine] Malik said to Abu Yahya, "Come with us to him." So we went to him and sought permission. As soon as we entered, he greeted us and said, "Welcome, welcome Abu Yahya! What do you need?" Then he arranged the gathering and asked, "Have you come as visitors or do you have a need?" Malik replied, "No, we have a need." Abu Yahya asked, "What is it, Abu Yahya?" He said, "O Salamah, what do you have for the kings? What do you have for the Sultan?" Abu Yahya said, "O Abu Yahya, we are known among them." He said, "May they take advantage of it!" Abu Yahya replied, "That does not benefit me." He said, "Woe to you, O Salamah! I am afraid they will put you in a dangerous situation and then not let you out of it."
