ahmad-zuhd:174ʿAbdullāh from my father > Abū Aḥmad > Fiṭr b. ʿAbdullāh b. Abū al-Hudhayl > Baʿḍ Aṣḥāb Muḥammad ﷺ

[Machine] I heard some of the companions of Muhammad ﷺ say, "We used to graze (or travel) like camels, due to the hardship."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٧٤حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا فِطْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ بَعْضَ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَقَدْ كُنَّا نَبْعَرُ كَمَا تَبْعَرُ الْإِبِلُ مِنَ الْجَهْدِ»
