ahmad-zuhd:172ʿAbdullāh from my father

[Machine] "The man used to tie a stone around his stomach to suppress his hunger. And the man would take refuge in the cave during the winter, as he had no other shelter."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٧٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ فِي تَفْسِيرِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ «لَقَدْ ذُكِرَ لَنَا

أَنَّ الرَّجُلَ كَانَ يَعْصِبُ عَلَى بَطْنِهِ الْحَجَرَ؛ لِيُقِيمَ بِهِ صُلْبَهُ مِنَ الْجُوعِ وَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَتَّخِذُ الْحُفَيْرَةَ فِي الشِّتَاءِ مَا لَهُ دِثَارٌ غَيْرُهَا»
