ahmad-zuhd:1608ʿAbdullāh from my father > Sayyār > Jaʿfar > Mālik b. Dīnār > Laqiyanī Maʿbad al-Juhanī > Ẓahr / > Ẓahr

[Machine] I met Al-Juhani while I was on a journey and he was also on a journey. He said, "Oh Malik, I have traveled to different places and have met many people, but I have never seen anyone like Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Hasan. Oh, how I wish we had obeyed him, how I wish we had obeyed him."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٦٠٨حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ قَالَ

لَقِيَنِي مَعْبَدٌ الْجُهَنِيُّ وَأَنَا عَلَى ظَهْرٍ وَهُوَ عَلَى ظَهْرٍ قَالَ فَقَالَ «يَا مَالِكُ إِنِّي قَدْ طُفْتُ الْأَمْصَارَ وَرَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ فَلَمْ أَرَ مِثْلَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ يَا لَيْتَنَا كُنَّا أَطَعْنَاهُ يَا لَيْتَنَا كُنَّا أَطَعْنَاهُ»
