الزهد لأحمد:١٥٩١ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ قَالَ

مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا يَطْلُبُ بِالْعِلْمِ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ ﷻ إِلَّا هَؤُلَاءِ الثَّلَاثَةَ يَعْنِي [226] عَطَاءً وَطَاوُسًا وَمُجَاهِدًا
