[Machine] Al-Taymi, from Basra, used to say, "The understanding of Al-Hasan, the knowledge of Muslim ibn Yasir, the piety of Ibn Sireen, and the worship of Talq ibn Habib."

الزهد لأحمد:١٤٩٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّارُ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ كُلْثُومِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ قَالَ

كَانَ التَّيْمِيُّ بِالْبَصْرَةِ يَقُولُ «فِقْهُ الْحَسَنِ وَعِلْمُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ وَوَرَعُ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ وَعِبَادَةُ طَلْقِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ»
