[Machine] So I saw him stand at the corner, then he approached and faced the mihrab, and he prayed the best prayer. Then he prostrated and I understood nothing from him except that he started saying in his prostration, "Forgive me my sins and what my hands have forwarded," then he cried until the marble turned wet.  

الزهد لأحمد:١٤١٢حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ صُبَيْحٍ حَدَّثَنَا مَكْحُولٌ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ سَيِّدًا مِنْ سَادَتِكُمْ دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ؟ قَالَ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ فَقُلْتُ لَأَنْظُرَنَّ مَا يَصْنَعُ قَالَ

فَرَأَيْتُهُ قَامَ عِنْدَ الزَّاوِيَةِ ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمَ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الرُّخَامَةَ فَصَلَّى أَحْسَنَ الصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ وَلَمْ أَفْهَمْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَنَّهُ جَعَلَ يَقُولُ فِي سُجُودِهِ «اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي وَمَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَايَ ثُمَّ بَكَى حَتَّى بَلَّ الْمَرْمَرَ»
