ahmad-zuhd:1312ʿAbdullāh > Muḥammad b. ʿUbaydullāh Abū Jaʿfar b. al-Munādī > Yūnus b. Muḥammad > Yaḥyá b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-ʿAṣarī > Ṣahbāʾ b. Aws Āmraʾah Khulayd

[Machine] That Khalid used to say, "There is no servant who supplicates to Him sincerely and then entrusts his affairs to Allah, except that Allah accepts his supplication and fulfills his need." So he would take his trust, and trust in Allah, and spend it without extravagance, with the intention of fulfilling his trust. When death came between him and his trust, Allah would say to his angels, "My servant Khalid fulfilled his need and entrusted his affairs to Me, so I took his trust and spent it without extravagance. I bear witness to you, my angels, that I have fulfilled his rights and forgiven him."
