[Machine] Al-Ahnaf ibn Qais used to say, "O Allah, if You punish me, then I am deserving of it, and if You forgive me, then You are capable of that."  

الزهد لأحمد:١٢٩٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ الْأَصْفَرِ قَالَ

كَانَ الْأَحْنَفُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ يَقُولُ «اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ تُعَذِّبْنِي فَأَنَا أَهْلُ ذَاكَ وَإِنْ تَغْفِرْ لِي فَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ ذَاكَ»
