[Machine] The lice multiplied on Abdulrahman ibn Abi Nu'man, so he prayed to Allah and a boil appeared between his eyes.

Additionally, Muhammad ibn Humaid narrated to us, Jareer narrated from Mughira, who said: Abdulrahman ibn Abi Nu'man used to break his fast twice in Ramadan. He said: When we would say to Abdulrahman ibn Abi Nu'man, "How are you, O Abu Al-Hakam?" He would respond: If we are righteous, then we are noble and pious. And if we are wicked, then we are disgraceful and miserable.  

الزهد لأحمد:١١٤٧حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شُبْرُمَةَ قَالَ

كَثُرَ الْقَمْلُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ فَدَعَا اللَّهَ ﷻ فَوَقَعَتْ كُبَّةٌ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ

وحَدَّثَنا أيْضًا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ قالَ: كانَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أبِي نُعْمٍ يُفْطِرُ فِي رَمَضانَ مَرَّتَيْنِ قالَ: وكُنّا إذا قُلْنا لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أبِي نُعْمٍ: كَيْفَ أنْتَ يا أبا الحَكَمِ قالَ: إنْ نَكُنْ أبْرارًا فَكِرامٌ أتْقِياءُ، وإنْ نَكُنْ فُجّارًا فَلِئامٌ أشْقِياءُ
