that the Prophet ﷺ went out from her (Juwayriyah) presence. Her name was Barrah, so the Prophet ﷺ changed her name and called her Juwayriyah. He went out, disliking that he should enter while her name was Barrah.
Then he returned to her after the day had risen high, while she was in her place of sitting, and he said: “Have you remained in your place of sitting? After leaving you I have said four phrases three times; if they were weighed against what you have said, they would outweigh them:
subḥān Allāhi wa-bi-ḥamdihi ʿadada khalqihi, wa-riḍā nafsihi, wa-zinata ʿarshihi, wa-midāda / wa-madada kalimātihi
‘Glory be to Allah and with His praise, as many times as the number of His creation, and according to His own pleasure, and the weight of His Throne, and the ink—or the extent—of His words.’”
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ خَرَجَ مِنْ عِنْدِهَا، وَكَانَ اسْمُهَا بَرَّةَ، فَحَوَّلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ اسْمَهَا، فَسَمَّاهَا جُوَيْرِيَةَ، فَخَرَجَ وَكَرِهَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ وَاسْمُهَا بَرَّةُ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهَا بَعْدَمَا تَعَالَى النَّهَارُ، وَهِيَ فِي مَجْلِسِهَا، فَقَالَ: «مَا زِلْتِ فِي مَجْلِسِكِ؟ لَقَدْ قُلْتُ بَعْدَكِ أَرْبَعَ كَلِمَاتٍ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، لَوْ وُزِنَتْ بِكَلِمَاتِكِ وَزَنَتْهُنَّ:
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ، وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ، وَمِدَادَ - أَوْ مَدَدَ - كَلِمَاتِهِ
