Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Did you get Anmat?" I said, 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! From where can we have Anmat?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Soon you will have them (Anmat).  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ هَلِ اتَّخَذْتُمْ أَنْمَاطًا قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَأَنَّى لَنَا أَنْمَاطٌ قَالَ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ  

When I was married, Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) asked me if I had got the carpet. I said: How can we have carpets? (i. e. I am so poor that I cannot even think of carpets). whereupon he said: You shall soon possess them.  

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَّا تَزَوَّجْتُ أَتَّخَذْتَ أَنْمَاطًا قُلْتُ وَأَنَّى لَنَا أَنْمَاطٌ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ  

When I was married. Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me if I had got carpets. I said: How can we have carpets? Thereupon he said: You will soon have. Jabir said: My wife had possessed a carpet, and I said to her to remove that away from me, but she would say: Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said: You will soon have.  

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَتَّخَذْتَ أَنْمَاطًا قُلْتُ وَأَنَّى لَنَا أَنْمَاطٌ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ قَالَ جَابِرٌ وَعِنْدَ امْرَأَتِي نَمَطٌ فَأَنَا أَقُولُ نَحِّيهِ عَنِّي وَتَقُولُ قَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ  

"The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'Have you got married?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Have you got any Anmat?' I said: 'How can we afford Anmat?' He said: 'You will be able to.'"  

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ هَلْ تَزَوَّجْتَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ هَلِ اتَّخَذْتُمْ أَنْمَاطًا قُلْتُ وَأَنَّى لَنَا أَنْمَاطٌ قَالَ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ  

When I was married. Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me if I had got carpets. I said: How can we have carpets? Thereupon he said: You will soon have. Jabir said: My wife had possessed a carpet, and I said to her to remove that away from me, but she would say: Messenger of Allah ﷺ had said: You will soon have. قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ هَلْ اتَّخَذْتُمْ أَنْمَاطًا؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَنَّى لَنَا أَنْمَاطٌ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ وَأَنَا أَقُولُ لِامْرَأَتِي نَحِّي عَنِّي نَمَطَكِ فَتَقُولُ أَوَلَيْسَ قَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ  

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: Have you made cushions ? I said: How can we afford cushions ? He said: Soon you will have cushions. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4145)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَا جَابِرُ أَنَكَحْتَ»؟ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ «أَتَّخَذْتُمْ أَنْمَاطًا؟ » قُلْتُ أَنَّى لَنَا أَنْمَاطٌ؟ قَالَ «أَمَا إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ»
